Ben is off of night shift and has secured a spot on days. When it comes to Coco, that’s like the best news ever! It’s not that I don’t want to be around her as much — it’s that she needs more time with her Dad.
Summertime incoming.
Not sure when the pool will be here but I was promised it would be open by Memorial Day. Having so much Coco time in the summer, I’m willing to bet we’re going to spend a whole lot of time outside. It’s something to do, you guys, and it beats screen time.
After a couple 80 degree days in a row, this morning you’d swear summertime is forever away. It’s mid-50’s, dark, and should start raining later this morning.
Those darn contractors — are they ever going to finish?
Not much left to do in the room with no walls. All that remains is the installation of a ceiling fan and outlet covers. They should get all their stuff out of there — including the scaffolding — and start upstairs today. Mr. Contractor said if he didn’t finish today, he’d work this weekend. I’ve heard that before and am not holding my breath.
Gutter guards were installed yesterday and I thought I got a deal. 154′ and it was right at $800 bucks. Considering they’re 16′ in the air — and they cleaned them and the downspouts before installation — I was 110% happy. No longer will I hear birds get stuck only to flutter and die. Yippee!
The heating and air problem didn’t have the same amazing result. The upstairs system required ordering a new board for the outside unit — and the downstairs one has issues requiring another person from the company to address. “It’s over my head,” the dude said when only one mini-split was functioning properly.
I can’t wait for this to all be a memory.
I just want to move my computers back to the room where they belong, have normal temperatures inside, and have days where people aren’t in and out all day long. 🙂
