At the Seymour house, I had a hallway that could have easily served as a bowling lane. Ikea’s shoe cabinet would’ve been perfect there — but here at the barndo, there’s not a huge length of hallway without door openings to other rooms.
But this Ikea shoe cabinet can be used for so many things other than shoes!

If you have wall space as opposed to floor space, it’s perfect for mail, folders with papers you need to easily access, and more. Ikea isn’t known for high-end furniture and this product is no exception — but I have Ikea filing cabinets and they’re as sturdy as anything else I’ve owned.
You can buy it online (locally it’s only available for pick-up – delivery is unavailable), for $150 bucks.
It’s better inside than outside today in the Ville.

A wind advisory and brisk temps make being outside today a hard pass for me. When I escorted Queen Dharma off the deck to the yard this morning, it was frosty.
I’m still dreaming of a foot of fluffy snow, temps hovering at 32° F so it doesn’t melt, and zero chance for wind gusts over 2mph. 🙂
