I awoke EARLY this morning feeling hot with only a sheet for cover. The outside temperature is -3º. There’s no wind but that’s still a miserably cold temperature. I’ve said it before, the worst thing about radiant floor heat is that you can’t control the temperature in specific rooms.
I want my living space warm and my bedroom cool.
When it’s normal wintertime cold in the Ville, I’ll crack the bedroom window. When it’s sub-zero, that’s not an option. So here I sit, toasty warm but not sleeping. It’s too hot for that.
There are options… all of which are expensive.
I’m still 95% sure it’s time to put in an alternate heat source and gas stoves make the most sense. If not for Dharma’s limited mobility, I’d sleep upstairs. It would break her heart to see me and the black dog head up there at night leaving her out — downstairs and lonely. 🙁
Dharma wants to always be included.
She especially wants to be included at breakfast time.
