transitioning closet space from downstairs to upstairs

Mar 19, 2024

Yesterday, I moved my closet from downstairs to upstairs. And rather than do it over a couple days considering the amount of clothes, shoes, and more to be moved, I did it all in one day.

The actual space in closet shelving units is deceiving.

Because the walk-in closet upstairs is large, I figured I’d have plenty of room for my stuff that was currently hanging in the bedroom closet downstairs. I have no clue what the barndo sellers paid for this unit, but it was too much.

During the process of hanging clothes on the rods, one of the plastic hangers broke from the weight. I found a spare replacement but it still meant everything I’d hung up was in a heap on the floor and I had to start over.

The pull out shoe racks are a joke and the tie rack thing will be the first to go. I’d much prefer regular, sturdy hanger rods and a couple dressers.

Perry switched out the bathroom ceiling fan/light and I’ll be painting around it today. A cabinet I ordered for the bathroom will be here in a couple days and should make enough room for all my bathroom stuff. I’ve also ordered a new showerhead that I can’t wait to get installed.

It’s a fact that women require more closet and bathroom space than men do. We simply have more shit. 🙂
