2 reasons why stray cats are a problem

I have a friend who lives in Hanover and she’s struggling with a stray cat. She has immaculate flowerbeds and said cat does his/her business there regularly. Her hostas are dying or dead because of it.

I have a similar thing going on out here. I have two regular feline visitors that set off my security alarms. I know who they belong to and can barely contain myself when I see her talking about them on FB.

Merida isn’t a fan of cats, and neither am I.

Merida hates cats.

Stray cats can still pose problems even if they have been spayed or neutered. Here are two reasons why:

  1. Even if strays are fixed, they hunt and kill birds, small mammals, and reptiles. I love my hummers and it pisses me off that someone’s pet is at my house disrupting my local ecosystem.
  2. Stray cats spread diseases and parasites to other animals and humans. They carry various parasites like fleas and ticks and drag their shit into my yard — not to mention they also carry diseases like toxoplasmosis.

YOUR PETS ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! 🤬

I don’t care if you have dogs, cats, hamsters, or goldfish — your pets are YOUR responsibility. Keep them on YOUR property.
