My contractor didn’t give me an exact start date. He merely said he would begin in “weeks” and not “months.” Besides covering up the lovely spray foam insulation in the room downstairs, he’ll be completing all the trim work upstairs. Wouldn’t it be easier to paint before that?
The upstairs has a few issues.
Because there wasn’t trim around the doors upstairs, there are some imperfections in the drywall around where that trim will go. In the master bedroom, it looks like a kid has picked at an edge and then just pulled leaving a place that needs repair. See it?
To fix it, I either try to match the color (past experience says that is the worst option), paint the entire room, (I honestly don’t mind the color already there and I don’t love painting anyway), or simply make it an accent wall.
Accent wall it is!
Whatever color I choose for the accent wall will flow into the master bath that is currently blue. Oh… and the bathroom has MANY places in the drywall that will have to be patched. They used command strips that they simply jerked off when taking down their décor — and that action took the top layer of wall board off too. 🙄
