If you know me, you know I’m not a great cook, nor do I claim to be. And… I prefer meat sauce instead of meatballs for spaghetti. But Perry — yes, Perry — wanted meatballs so I gave in and gave it a try.
Ingredients:
- Ground beef 60%
- Ground pork 40%
- Panko
- Milk
- Egg yolks
- Grated Cheese
- Garlic
- Herbs (I used basil and parsley)
Directions:
I just mixed all the ingredients in a big bowl — no measuring anything really — just wanting a consistency that looked like I thought it should. (See? I told you I’m no cook!) I baked them at 425° for 20 minutes, turning halfway. No. I didn’t make my own sauce but they were still great with good ole’ Paul Newman’s garlic sauce over spaghetti.
I had several left over and froze them for later. I’m thinking they’d be great on a toasted bread roll with marinara and melted mozzarella cheese.
