My future years are destined to involve picking up mass amounts of dog poop.
Bleak, right?
Because the house is listed, I’m picking up dog poop the second it hits the ground. I put on a blue latex glove, snap it like I’m about to do brain surgery, and head to the spot chosen by the doggo. I wondered how those claiming to be professional poop picker-uppers do it — so I googled the subject to find out.
First, dog poop scoopers make about $45.00 an hour — and tips are expected. Sounds like a lot, but would you do it for $45 an hour? Others charge by the week — around $14.00 weekly with a contract for one dog. They even have websites! Like poop911.com and doodycalls.com to name just a couple.
They use a rake type thing on a long handle and a pan on a stick — no rubber gloving it for the doody dudes.
Poop will be an issue even in the country.
Mr. Pesky has a new and expensive mower. He will NOT want to mow over dog feces. But at least there it won’t be an everyday job.
