There are many pros and cons when deciding to live in a city or in the country. I think about them a lot… things I can’t wait to have and things I’m going to miss. For example…
Pros of living in a city:
- I love grocery delivery — Jay C, Walmart, Aldi are all available.
- I love the shopping convenience — even if I don’t have my groceries delivered, I’m a very short drive from everything I need.
- In the winter, the streets are always cleaned — as long as I can get out of my driveway, even bigger snows aren’t an issue.
- I have a variety of food choices just minutes away — no matter if it’s burgers or steak — seafood or tacos — it’s all right here.
Cons of city life:
- Close neighbors — the neighbors behind me have a light that my dogs trigger often. It’s blindingly bright.
- Noise — my neighborhood is one of the best in Seymour, but the sounds are still different. I hear the high school marching band and football games (which I don’t mind), and sirens from police cars and firetrucks (that I do mind) a whole lot more often.
- Small yard space — yards are smaller and must be mowed more often. Here, they’re not just mowed… they are manicured. My dogs prefer more space and I prefer less yard work.
