be careful what you ask for… or demand

One of the items that was required to be modified on this house to follow-through with the sale was a roof cricket. You know… that dog house piece of crap that’s installed on chimneys that are more than 30″ wide. Royalty Roofing showed up today to do it.

The doorbell rang at 7:00 AM!

I didn’t know they were coming, and I certainly didn’t know they would show up at the butt crack of dawn. Two dudes on a mission. I pulled on a pair of jean shorts and left on my pj top, answered the door, and let them in the back yard. Shortly thereafter, it looked like the house was on fire.

house is not on fire

Merida and Dharma had been out right before that and I gave them breakfast. How long could it take anyway? Well… a long darned time. Nine hours to be exact that my puppies had to hold their pee. Dharma didn’t make it. 🙁

And then there’s that bathroom vent.

The other thing required was a move of the vent in the 1/2 bath to the outside as opposed to in the attic. They were going to make a hole in the roof on the front of the house! I wouldn’t want that… and I doubted the buyers would either. If I was a turd, I’d have just let them do it… it would’ve checked the box insofar as what they buyers wanted. Instead, I called and just as I thought — they didn’t want a vent pipe sticking up in front.

Be careful what you ask for (or demand)… someone else might not care as much as I did.
