Today is dark and dreary. This morning, when I got up it was just dark.
I’m not sure if I should blame Dharma or Merida because they actually feed off one another. Merida starts the process by getting off the bed to lay with Dharma on the dog bed. Dharma’s not a fan since it’s HER bed so she gets up. That’s when the grunting starts.
Dharma’s grunts range in pitch and length… getting more annoying the longer it takes me to get up. About 2 minutes into the grunt cycle, Merida gets back on the bed and sits with her head hanging down over mine. If I move — even to suck in some air not tainted by dog breath — her tail thumps.
At this point, I might as well get up.
Snow is possible in the Ville over the next three days but it isn’t supposed to be anything major. So far, it’s just a dark and dreary winter morning. Pretty darned blah compared to potential morning views. Not even worth walking outside.
When it rains I can hear it!
You know how when you’re staying at a beach resort you can hear the ocean waves as you fall asleep? Welp, when it rains at the barndo I can hear the creek bubbling in the distance. Compared to football cannons, game announcers, and marching band practice that I heard while living at the Seymour house, it’s a win.
