Received an offer today contingent upon the sale of the buyer’s current house. It was a strong offer and I accepted it. Basically, it’s like a first right of refusal. My realtor will continue to market my house and it will continue to be available. But if there’s an offer by someone else, we have to give this buyer 24-hours to either move forward with the purchase even though their house has not yet sold — or release their offer. It’s good for 30-days.
The buyer has already been approved for a loan, and their house will be listed in a price range that’s an easier sell than this house. I hope it works out for both of us — this is truly a great house. If I could put this in the country somewhere I’d be thrilled… but that’s simply not gonna happen.
