Poor Katie still isn’t moved into her new home in Tennessee. I remember how I felt waiting on the previous barndo owners to move out so I could move my stuff in. The “out of the Seymour house” deadline was very close to the “can move in the barndo” date. I worried so much about coordinating the move I thought I might have my first ever anxiety attack.
Since Katie is living with her two dogs in a house owned by friends of her parents, her current situation is likely worse than mine was in October 2022. Her appliances were delivered yesterday so she’s at least getting closer to having a home.
In the meantime, she’s asking for decorating advice.
Primarily because there’s not a whole lot for her to do but wait, she decided to paint her bedroom furniture. Obviously, she thinks I’m the person closest to Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper to ask for design ideas.
Katie selected Sherwin Williams “pewter green” because she saw a tiktok furniture transformation video clip using that color. But she didn’t know what color she should go with for the walls and asked for my advice. I confidently suggested the color “sea salt.”
Time will tell if she followed my advice…
